Quartz

Quartz is the most versatile type of crystal.  It’s used for divination, healing and magic rituals.  

Quartz is a general term for a number of different crystals including amethyst, citrine and topaz.  Quartz has the most use in Crystallomancy, where it is the substance used to make crystal balls and scrying mirrors.

Quartz is also used to rid the environment of unhealthy vibrations, and is excellent for cleansing an area too full of electromagnetic toxins, like computer-laden offices.

In magic, quartz is used as a protective amulet against evil and for enchantments and charms.  Rose quartz, a pink form of the stone, has special powers to attract affection so it is heavily featured in love spells and potions.  Quartz also enhances a person ability to foretell the future, and has been employed for this purpose in many different cultures for thousands of years.
