Shaman

Shaman (Native Siberian sha'man, 'to heat up, to burn, to work with fire').  A healer-magician-priest figure who usually serves as wise man to tribal peoples of the Americas, India, Australia, Japan, Siberia and Mongolia, as well as in some northern European pagan traditions.

In different traditions, shamans are also known as medicine men or witch doctors.
